Jason M. Cook – Professional Biography
Jason M. Cook is an accomplished construction and operations professional with more than 25 years of experience in residential and commercial construction, project management, quality control, and organizational leadership. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed construction operations, led large teams, negotiated contracts, maintained budgets, and ensured compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Jason currently serves as a Lead Carpenter with Bush Construction, where he applies his extensive field experience and leadership skills to oversee construction projects and maintain high standards of craftsmanship. Prior to returning to the Quad Cities, he held several executive leadership positions in the homebuilding industry, including Consultant with Builder Partnerships, Vice President of Operations for Buffington Homes of Arkansas, and Director of Construction for Rausch Coleman Homes. In these roles, he was responsible for construction operations, labor management, quality assurance, scheduling, budgeting, and project delivery.
A graduate of United Township High School, Jason continued his education at Black Hawk College and completed his carpentry apprenticeship through Carpenters Local 166. His professional expertise includes quality control, project management, commercial development, bidding and contract negotiation, labor management, budget planning, team leadership, and construction safety.
Jason's combination of executive leadership experience and hands-on construction knowledge provides him with a practical understanding of the building industry and the ability to work effectively with contractors, developers, inspectors, and the public. His strong commitment to quality workmanship, regulatory compliance, and customer service has been a consistent hallmark throughout his career.
With decades of experience managing construction projects from planning through completion, Jason brings the technical knowledge, leadership, and problem-solving skills necessary to effectively serve in a Building Inspector role and help ensure safe, high-quality development within the City of Silvis.
