Pet Hens
The City of Silvis allows residents to take advantage of raising pet hens. For more information on this please feel free to call the City Clerk's office at 309-792-9181.
Composting
Your compost pile is a living system. Microbes are the workhorses of your pile. Keep the bacteria and fungi happy and they will work to make composting faster for you. It's all about managing your pile.
Recycling
We now have a Recycling container available Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm at the Public Works Building for resident's overflow recycling.
